Coaching gives leaders a competitive advantage primarily because it allows them to work through their challenges more quickly. I realized one day when I was talking to a long term client that I was standing with her in the center of a multitude of business interests but I only had a vested interest in her success. There was no one project I was committed to over another, and I did not feel her pressure of competing priorities, I was simply there as a resource for her. Coaching can hold a vision for clients bigger than they hold for themselves and then help them strategically turn it into a reality. Coaches play "all in" for their clients and ask them to play "all in" for themselves.
Our clients are empire builders. They see something huge for themselves in the world and they go after it. Some own their own companies, some are leading innovative start-ups, and some are succeeding in different ways. What they have in common is an almost crazy drive coupled with good ideas, hard work, and a whole lot of heart.
